|About WOTA Membership|
The Wisconsin Occupational Therapy Association is excited that you are taking the next step toward becoming a well-connected therapist or OT student in the state of Wisconsin! WOTA's annual memberships are based on a calendar year basis. All memberships are up for renewal on December 31st, regardless of the time of joining.
As a WOTA member, you will benefit from belonging to a professional network of more than 600 OTs/OTAs in the state of Wisconsin. Beyond the intangible benefits of supporting the profession, WOTA membership offers these benefits:
Any individual licensed to practice as an occupational therapist in Wisconsin and who has not had that license revoked due to disciplinary action.
Any individual licensed to practice as an occupational therapy assistant in Wisconsin and who has not had that license revoked due to disciplinary action.
Any individual who is currently enrolled full or part-time in an OT or OTA educational program which is accredited or pending accreditation by the ACOTE. An individual may not stay in this category of membership for more than five years.
Life Member: Waived
Any OT or OTA WOTA member who has demonstrated distinguished service in the field of occupational therapy, has retired from the practice of occupational therapy and is voted into this category by the voting membership of WOTA upon recommendation from the WOTA Board of Directors.
Any OT or OTA who is retired or semi-retired, who may be working less than an average of 40 hours per month.
Any individual or organization interested in occupational therapy and does not satisfy the requirements in any other membership category.
